There was an info-graphic in USA Today last week that stated, out of the 48 million motorcycle riders in the US, 25% are now women. That may not seem like a lot until you dig a little deeper. I used the info-graphic as a starting point to do a little more online research and found that it has been on a steady 5-8% growth per year. I’m sure there are many reasons for the increase in female riders, but the one reason and stats that stood out for me was in an article “In Increasing Numbers, Women Are Taking to the Road on Two Wheels” from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
